TTLF visited the Makoko community for its first-ever community outreach in January 2020.  Outreach was about sustainability, menstrual hygiene practices, and the distribution of resources. We had an engagement with community leaders in order to assess the need and seek their involvement in the interventions. The leaders applauded the TTLF team for recognizing them and making proper consultations before embarking on any program in the community. 

The community leaders shared our vision of promoting health, education, and children and youth empowerment. A group of 13 girls between the ages of 13-23years was gathered for menstrual hygiene education and period products distribution.
